We had a lazy weekend - Bob was on call all weekend and worked his normal shift as well but never got called in. Thankfully - working his normal night shift was plenty.
I think the most exciting thing we did this weekend was play tennis. We have a tennis court here in our lovely community. Apparently I hit the ball like I'm hitting a softball - over the fence. I really am no good but it was fun. Poor Zach was pelted a few times when I hit it back to him - I guess I'm stronger than I know! ; ) It was Zach against Bobby and I. Zach won all of the matches - but we made him run for it!
Last night while doing laundry - a HUGE palmetto bug came scurrying out from under our wash machine - remember , our washer and dryer are outside in a closet on our patio. Which to me - is bizarre. I'm starting to dislike the palmetto bugs just about as much as the creepin' lizards. I thought about putting some powder down that will take care of the palmetto's but I'm afraid the lizards will eat it and then we'll have a whole slew of belly up lizards on our patio. I'll deal with the mammoth palmetto's before I deal with that.
I make sure that the slider door is closed tight - I DO not want one of those in our house. Ew. I suppose after we're here for a year they won't creep me out as much. Actually - I can't ever imagine getting used to them.
On Friday I went for my second interview with that school I applied at - and they officially offered me the job , which is so exciting. This school is phenomenal - with a TON of Tampa area community support. I will be heading up the Kindergarten summer school and then in August I will teach the Kindergarten Readiness Program ( an uppity term for Pre-K or preschool)
My guys are doing well - Bob is working tons and is on call so much in April and some of May . Zach is doing super - getting tall. He sure doesn't take after my side of the family with height.
Much love to all!
